The grapes are sourced from family vineyards in Sicily, an ideal location with the largest number of organic vineyards in Italy. This ensures the preservation of native grapes, which might otherwise be lost in bulk wine production.
Nero dAvola, Sicily’s most important indigenous red grape, thrives across the island but is often over-extracted and oak-aged. Due Terre aims to showcase the grape’s pure qualities. Their vineyard, located at the base of Monte Bonifato at 350m above sea level, features nutrient-poor clay soils, perfect for producing bright, fresh red wine.
