In 1939, the government of Siam decided to change the name of the country to “Thailand”, until the renaming back in the wake of a new constitution, to finally correct the name to Thailand in 1949.
Molasses produced from the distillery’s own sugar cane, a 5-fold distillation in column stills, as well as a storage in American ex-bourbon barrels give the Siam Edition its incomparable complex and spicy-woody character.
To be able to guarantee a constant temperature, the storage room is located under the floor, with Angels’ Share between 7 and 9% per year. The barrels are decanted several times and topped up with a rum of the same age until the rum is bottled after its 10-year maturation.
