The Maestro Dobel 50 Anniversary Series was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our founder, Juan Dobel, by presenting a tequila that enhances what it means to be a Maestro Tequilero with the greatest virtue: that of sharing. Each year, Dobel will produce a limited edition to honor 50th celebrations including birthdays, anniversaries and milestones. Dobel 50 1968 is an exceptional edition that integrates the best Extra Aejo house vintages, patiently aged in American barrels and finished in Armagnac barrels. This Extra Aejo tequila is a silky smooth liquid, crafted from 100% blue agave sourced from a family-owned, single estate in the volcanic lowlands of Tequila, Mexico. The artisanal process includes slow-cooking, slow double-distillation and a unique refinement process. This compelling spirit heightens the senses, from its marriage of caramel, honey, agave and dried fruit aroma, to its voluminously rich taste and long finish.

Tasting Notes

Flavor: Smooth and sweet with a slightly bitter yet pleasant aftertaste. Notes of honey and dried fruits such as figs and dates. Its long barrel aging give it unique characteristics with a balance of elegant toasted wood sensations combined with dried fruit.
