Chambolle Musigny is one of the smaller appellations of the Cote de Nuits, producing exclusively red wines with the exception of a 1.6 ha plot of Chardonnay in Musigny. Chambolle-Musigny has 24 premier cru vineyards in addition to its famous grand crus, Bonnes Mares and Musigny. The limestone soil is renowned for producing wines that are delicately scented. These wines have excellent structure combined with remarkable silkiness.
