Astral Blanco Tequila

Astral Blanco Tequila is a unique spirit, crafted in the traditional manner reminiscent of tequila production 150 years ago. Made from agave grown at high altitudes on a single organic estate in the mountains, Astral honors the heritage and culture of tequila. The agave is harvested and roasted in a traditional stone oven. Native yeast fermentation, taking eight times longer than conventional methods, is used to highlight the agave’s full character. The fermentation process includes all the bagazo (solids), enhancing the agave’s natural flavors. After fermentation, Astral Blanco is pot distilled twice, achieving a proof of 92. This meticulous process ensures a tequila that celebrates its rich heritage with every sip.

TASTING NOTES

Nose
Aromas of cinnamon, pepper, and spice, with minerals, and a musty aroma, with citrus, vegetal, floral and some anise (licorice) notes.

Palate
It has a potent taste with a hot cinnamon presence and a musty, sharp, mild fruit, citrus and spice presence, along with some sweet agave notes. It is pleasant enough to sip, but in a hi-proof cocktail, this agave sweetness and alcohol punch, would cut through the mixed flavors and add a tasty zest.
