Gerardo Madrigal, founder of AMAN Tequila, discovered his passion for the picturesque region of Nayarit in Jalisco, Mexico, at a young age while traveling with his parents from their hometown of Los Angeles. Fascinated by the lush landscape, characterized by millions of blue agaves, volcanoes, waterfalls and the untouched nature of Jalisco, this vision never left him.
After completing his studies with a Master of Science and a career as a mathematics professor, he realized his dream and founded the AMAN distillery. The name AMAN stands for reliability, trustworthiness and safety – qualities that are also reflected in the products.
AMAN Anejo Tequila is made from carefully selected, particularly ripe agaves. These agaves undergo a minimum maturation period of 14 months in French and American oak barrels, which gives the tequila its unique depth and variety of flavors.
