The 2021er Thrnicher Ritsch Riesling Sptlese Ritsch was made from fruit picked at 91 Oechsle in this prime Lieu-Dit forming the original part of the vineyard and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (75 g/l). It offers a beautiful nose made of whipped cream, a dash of pineapple and coconut, herbal elements, and smoke. The wine proves stunningly playful and somewhat still austere on the palate. The finish is all about ripe creamy fruits, spices, and lots of animating minerals and tartness. This superb Sptlese now only needs one thing: patience.
