2020 Bass Phillip Estate Old Vines Pinot Noir 750ml

Bass Phillip, an esteemed Australian winery founded by Phillip Jones in 1979, is located in Victoria’s South Gippsland region. The winery is celebrated for its dedication to crafting outstanding cool-climate wines, particularly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Grapes from the Leongatha vineyard were de-stemmed, wild-yeast fermented, left on skins for two weeks, and aged in French oak (25% new) for 14 months. The finest barrels were selected for the Estate. The wine opens with striking aromatics, offering a heady blend of florals, forest floor, blood orange, and spiced cherries. On the palate, sweet-savoury flavors from fruit and oak are beautifully integrated with fine tannins, showcasing complexity, detail, and definition.
