A championing example of this is Penfolds Grange Bin 95 vintage 2016. This decadently dark shiraz wine unfolds in swirls of aromatic depth highlighted by fleshed fruits and star anise spices. The palate is intricately enrobed in deep drafts of sun-dried figs and black soy paired with more bursts of anise and equally wondrous hints of perfectly aged tannins for a final note of dark fruit kisses just off the tail end.
