Del Maguey San Luis Del Rio Mezcal is handcrafted by the tropical riverbed in the village of San Luis Del Rio where the Red Ant River flows. Thedistillery is located in a very unique eco-region called La Huasteca and plays an important role in preserving it. San Luis del Rio uses the Espadn agave, which grows perfect in its climate.
The Agave dries on mats laid out on terra-cotta roof tiles or sometimes on drying racks made from tree branches.
