Based in Prmeaux-Prissey, Domaine Prieur-Roch is a prestigious wine estate formed in 1988 by the late Henry-Frdric Roch. Henry, who sadly passed away in 2018, was the nephew Lalou Bize-Leroy and also the co-director along with Aubert de Villaine of the Domaine de la Romane-Conti from 1992 until his untimely death. Today, the estate covers approximately 16 hectares of vines of which 12 are in the Cte de Nuits. The winemaking philosophy at the domaine is built upon an organic approach to viticulture. The result are wines of extraordinary aromatics and energy, with remarkable acidity and ripe, complex fruits. This particular cuve comes from the lieu-dit Les Hautes Maizires situated just below the premier cru Les Suchots. Here the domaine cultivates a 0.62-hectare plot, where the vines are approximately 45 years old. A limited production of 2,000 bottles.
